John Caldwell’s career in gaming began when he started PokerNews.com in 2004. John was the CEO and Editor-In-Chief through the site’s first five years. During John’s tenure, PokerNews.com grew from the initial seed of three people to over seventy employees and freelancers.
After PokerNews, John accepted a position at PokerStars.com as the Director of Pro and Celebrity Marketing, serving on both the Exec and marketing leadership teams at various times during his four plus years at the company.
John recently left PokerStars to start his own iGaming consultancy. Prior to starting PokerNews, John spent fifteen years in the music business as an artist manager and record label President, working with acts such as Stone Temple Pilots and Hootie & the Blowfish.
